Carol has extensive business experience at Board level in both Executive and Non-Executive roles in a wide range of industries including Exhibitions, Financial Services, Retail, Telecoms, Market Research, Government, Education and Housing. Her early career was in Human Resources, where the development of potential in the people has always been her passion. She specialises in Business Mentoring, Executive Coaching, and Supervision in the Corporate, Public and Not for Profit Sectors.
Her mentoring builds on her earlier experience in Human Resources in a number of organisations including the Open University, ACNielsen, House of Fraser, LloydsTSB, Orange, MSAS Cargo Ltd and the NEC and her various Non-Executive roles for the DSA Connexions Partnership and Hyde Housing Group. Carol has been mentoring young entrepreneurs since 2010 and currently has mentees in Jordon, Lebanon and the UK.
She became especially interested in Leadership when working for the NEC researching E Q with Henley Business School. She was part of the research team that focused on human performance during the BT Global Challenge 2000/1 Round the World Yacht Race. Carol is committed to her own CPD and is currently studying Neuroscience for coaches with AoEC. She set up and Chairs the Thames Valley CIPD SIG in Coaching and Mentoring and has been instrumental in securing prominent speakers since 2011.
Carol is an Associate Lecturer for the Business School and has been a Coach/Supervisor for the MA Coaching and Mentoring Practice at Oxford Brookes University since 2005. Carol has an MBA, a Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring Practice, a Certificate in Lecturing and a Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching Supervision from Oxford Brookes University. She also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Systemic Team Coaching from AoEC and is a Chartered Fellow of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD).
She lives in Oxford with her daughter and husband, who is also self-employed and works in the Not for Profit Sector. She has 2 Labradors, one chocolate and one yellow, and keeps fit by Salsa dancing.
