Lis is a renowned global coaching and mentoring specialist who, because of her obvious passion for mentoring, was voted by Coaching at Work Magazine as Mentoring Person of the Year 2011/12. Lis’s philosophy for her company, Coach Mentoring Ltd, is to develop, inspire and enthuse each individual, team or organisation who they work with by utilising the appropriate coaching, mentoring or learning and development intervention, to discover their unique abilities and maximise true potential.
Her experience in mentoring programme design and development is now nationally acclaimed in the UK, with over 60 mentoring programmes to her name in the UK and Europe. Her expertise and research is predominantly in the field of mentoring and coaching with regard to talent management, mentoring senior women, supervision in mentoring and recent research in intimacy in coaching and mentoring and the coach’s ego.
Lis is a social science graduate, with an MBA and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and Chartered Management Institute. She has a Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring with the Oxford School and an MSc in Coaching and Mentoring, which she studied at Sheffield Business School. Lis is also a Visiting Fellow within the Coaching and Mentoring Research Unit at Sheffield Business School, and on the Board and an accredited assessor for the International Standards for Mentoring Programmes in Employment (ISMPE).
Lis lives happily in Yorkshire, she has three children, a dog, a cat and two rabbits and regularly visits Megève in France, with family and friends to ski and relax. Forever the entrepreneur, she has future ambitions to run a guest house in the Yorkshire Dales and a ski chalet in the French Alps!
